First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
2026 Arrants St. Selma, CA 93662

We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord's Table as God has welcomed us.
Bringing Neighbors Together
Bringing Neighbors Together is a model Police/Community partnership combining the efforts of law enforcement, the faith-based community, and other community organizations in an effort to improve the quality of life for all of the citizens of Selma. The goal of the organization is to promote healing and establish a positive future, free of violence and filled with a feeling of security, where families prosper and children reach their fullest potential.
The S.M.A.R.T. Center is located in Salazar Park in SW Selma at 1800 Sheridan. It is a non-profit, multipurpose community center run by a collaborative effort of its board members, local churches, private supporters and volunteers. All of us have one goal in common: To give back to the community of Selma by offering the community a safe place to meet. We provide valuable services to the neighborhood. One of the ways First Christian Church participates is by providing and distributing bags of food to members of the community on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month. You are welcome to come and help!

Christian Cafe
It is an ecumenical hot meal program. Every Wednesday evening at the First United Methodist Church a hot dinner is served to seniors and others in need. Various congregations around the city each take one week to provide and serve the meal. Our turn comes up once every 3 months or so.
Second Chance Animal Shelter
A volunteer-based, non-profit open admission shelter. We are located in California and provide care to animals within the cities of Selma, Fowler, and Kingsburg, regardless of age, health, or behavior.
We are committed to reducing overpopulation by:
